Flammkuchen Recipe - Pizza with Bacon and Onion

This bacon and onion flammekuch recipe is even better with honey and goat cheese.

Ingredients

FOR THE DOUGH

  • 250 g white flour
  • 5 cl rapeseed oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 10 cl warm water

FOR THE GARNISH

  • 200 g 200 g smoked bacon matches
  • 3 onions cut lengthwise into very thin strips
  • 200 g goat cheese
  • honey
  • 100 g cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mascarpone or heavy cream
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 220°C.
  • To prepare the dough, place the flour and salt in a bowl.
  • Add oil and water as you go. It may be necessary to remove some of the water or add a little flour.
  • Knead quickly until the dough is smooth. The dough should be soft.
  • Once your dough is ready, divide it in 2 to obtain 2 flambé tarts. Roll them out thinly on sheets of parchment paper, using a rolling pin.
  • Mix the mascarpone and cottage cheese and spread over the pasta.
  • Add onions and bacon on top.
    Finally, spread honey and goat cheese on top.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until ingredients are well coloured.
