Prep Time:10 minutes
Cook Time:20 minutes
Total Time:30 minutes
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: English
Servings: 8 muffins

Ingredients

  • 80 g powdered sugar
  • 90 g milk with a few drops of lemon juice
  • 50 g neutral oil
  • 1 egg
  • 150 g flour
  • 10 g brown sugar for the top
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 80 g dark chocolate
  • 2 pears 5peeled and cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Melt the chocolate in a bain marie.
Put all the ingredients in a bowl, except for the yeast, pears and chocolate.
Mix well then add the baking powder. Mix again to incorporate it perfectly.
Then add the melted chocolate and mix.
Add the pear pieces, stir gently so as not to crush the fruit.
Place paper cases in the muffin molds (here I used baking paper that I cut) then fill 3/4 of the dough so it doesn't overflow when cooking.
Sprinkle a little brown suger on top as well.
  • Place in the oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, monitoring the end of cooking so as not to let them burn. They should be nicely browned and above all very puffy.
  • Remove the tray from the oven and after a few minutes, carefully unmold them, possibly using a knife so as not to break the tops of the muffins.
Enjoy with a good tea or coffee and enjoy this moment of sweetness.
If you don't have any sugar, you can use a little brown sugar.
