Easy Chili Con Carne Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 large can of red beans (800 g canned and 500 g drained)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 400 g crushed or pulped tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper
  • Finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • Rice for serving

Instructions

  • Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
    Cook it gently in a casserole dish (cast iron) with olive oil.
  • Add the beef and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add the chili, cumin, crushed tomato and incorporate everything into the beef.
  • Add salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Finally add the drained red beans and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes.
  • You can serve with rice and a little chopped flat-leaf parsley.
