Orange Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g soft butter (at room temperature)
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 small organic orange (juice + zest)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder (optional)
  • Icing sugar

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the softened butter with the egg, a pinch of salt and the sugar for a few minutes. The result is not uniform but that’s normal!
    Add the juice and zest of the orange. Mix again.
  • Mix the flour and yeast then gradually pour in while mixing until you obtain a smooth dough.
  • Form a ball and film it. Leave to cool for 1 hour.
  • Then form around thirty small balls and roll them in the icing sugar.
    Place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and leave in the refrigerator or freezer for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 190°C.
  • Bake for 15 minutes and let cool on a rack.
  • You can keep them for a few days in an airtight container.

Notes

This recipe can be made using a blender but also manually.
