Homemade Strawberry Syrup

Ingredients

  • 100 g strawberry tails with a little flesh
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 140 g powdered sugar
  • 25 cl water

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Heat over low heat and stir regularly. When sugar is dissolved, continue cooking for 20 minutes, covered.
  • Pour into a colander and place over a bowl. Gently mash strawberries with the back of a spoon to release juice and flesh.
  • Pour into a sterilized bottle or jar and let cool.
    Place in the refrigerator and consume within a week.
