Minced Beef Samosa Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 sheets of brick pastry
  • 400 g minced beef
  • 2-3 fresh eggs
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 small bunch of fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 small bunch of fresh coriander
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F.
  • Wash and dry the parsley and/or coriander. Chop them finely and set them aside in a bowl.
  • Peel and finely chop the onion. Sauté it for 5 minutes over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Add the ground beef, your choice of spices, and stir-fry over high heat for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Remove from heat, add the eggs one by one and mix well.
  • Add the parsley and cilantro and mix well.
  • Make the samosas as shown in the diagram below, placing a tablespoon of filling on each sheet of filo pastry and folding them.
  • Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with oil.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
