Ingredients

  • 2 smoked sausages
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 800 g tomato pulp
  • 1 or 2 centimeters fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered or fresh turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon sweet pepper or paprika
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)
  • Flat-leaf parsley or Cilandro washed and chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  • Cook the sausages without pricking them in simmering water for 15 minutes.
  • Peel and slice the onions, then chop the garlic cloves.
    In a sauté pan, heat a drizzle of oil and brown the onions for 5 minutes over low heat.
    Then add the garlic, ginger, turmeric and chilli and continue cooking for 5 minutes, still over low heat.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes and the sliced ​​sausages, salt and pepper then mix.
  • Then let it simmer for 20 minutes at a low boil without covering.At the end of cooking, you can add a tablespoon of peanut butter and mix well.
  • Serve with rice or baked polenta fries, it's a treat.Add finely chopped flat-leaf parsley or cilandro.
