I love making this honey goat cheese Flammkuchen recipe at home! It’s really become a classic because it’s so quick and easy to make.
And to think that the first time I tried it a few years ago, I thought it was complicated to make…. I don’t know why I thought it was almost impossible to make a Flammekueche at home with a very thin dough. Well, if you have the same prejudice as me, think again! It’s super simple, super fast and couldn’t be better!
And what I love about homemade flammekueche is that you can really choose what you put on it. The traditional recipe has a thin dough, a creamy base, then little bacon and chopped onions, and that’s it, there’s no cheese. But I love this sweet and sour version with goat cheese and honey.
With the kids, we like to make our own tarte flambée. It gets them involved and they like to add their own ingredients: honey, goat cheese, reblochon, grated comté, vegetables, etc.
