Here’s a last minute Christmas recipe idea! This homemade Chocolate Pretzels recipe is exactly the kind of treat that you can improvise at home at any time because it is so simple and quick to make, but for maximum pleasure! 😉
You will only need very few ingredients: pretzels and chocolate + a few ingredients for decoration (but it’s optional).
This recipe can be served in several ways, either as a dessert with coffee, as a snack, or as an aperitif for a delicious sweet and sour effect.
You can even add it to your selection of Christmas desserts or you can also arrange them in small bags and offer them under the tree as a homemade gift and i am sure you can aslo like homemade Chocolate Truffles.
Homemade Chocolate Pretzels Recipe
What ingredients do you need to make this recipe?
- pretzels, I like maxi pretzels because I find them very crunchy but you can definitely use pretzels of the size and brand of your choice.
- dark pastry chocolate (my favorite, Valrhôna, obviously)
- and if you wish, ingredients to decorate the chocolate coating: grated coconut, sesame seeds, crushed pistachios. But you can also leave them plain, or choose other ingredients, such as: caster sugar, citrus zest, pieces of caramel, crushed toasted almonds or peanuts…

Homemade Chocolate Pretzels recipe
Ingredients
- 200 g maxi pretzels
- 100 g dark pastry chocolate
- Crushed unsalted roasted pistachios
- Toasted sesame
- Grated coconut
Instructions
- Place the grated coconut, crushed pistachios and sesame in 3 small individual bowls.
- In a saucepan over a water bath, melt the dark chocolate.
- When the chocolate is melted, dip half of the pretzels into it and let the excess fall off.
- Then pass the chocolate part of the pretzels alternately in the grated coconut, crushed pistachios and sesame.
- Place on a baking rack and let dry before serving and enjoying.
