I don’t know about you, but when I’m missing an ingredient at home and we still really want to eat what we had in mind, well, we find solutions! I had to find another version than my traditional best French Crepes recipe because the butter was in the chocolate fudge from the weekend (yes, I know…). The result being tip top, I share with you this new recipe of pancake batter without butter! And yes, Candlemas is coming!
You can use this pancake batter for savory versions with an egg, ham, a little mushrooms (or other…) as well as sweet versions. And as for the sweet, I advise you to accompany them with homemade sweets like :

What ingredients do you need to make this easy French Crepes Recipe?
- flour
- eggs
- milk
- lemon juice
- salt
- oil
Best French Crepes Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 g flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 l milk
- A few drops of lemon juice
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, pour the milk and add a few drops of lemon.
- In a bowl, pour the sifted flour and salt and form a well.
- Place the eggs in the center of the flour and begin mixing in the center with a whisk. Gradually add the milk while continuing to mix.
- Finally, add the oil and mix again.Let stand for 20 minutes.
- Make your pancakes in a non-stick pan and lightly oil between each pancake. Fry them for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
