Chorizo and Cream Cheese Dip Recipe

This Chorizo and Cream Cheese Dip: A must-try recipe for your next get-together!
You might already know this little gem, chorizo spread, but if not, it’s high time you did. Honestly, it’s the kind of recipe that transforms any appetizer: simple, quick, delicious, and customizable. You know, the kind of thing you can whip up in 5 minutes, effortlessly, and that always makes a great impression? Well, this is exactly what you need.
When I say “recipe,” it’s a bit of an exaggeration, as it essentially relies on two main ingredients: chorizo and Saint-Morêt cheese. Nothing complicated, the secret is finding the right balance between the ingredients to achieve the desired texture.
And like me, you can adapt it to your taste. Personally, I like to add fromage blanc to soften the texture and make it lighter. And if you want to take it a step further, consider adding sun-dried tomatoes or caramelized onions. These two ingredients add a delicious touch that pairs perfectly with the chorizo (choose mild or spicy depending on your preference, or mix them for a spicy note…). In short: it’s a chorizo and cream cheese spread with real character! 🙂
Chorizo and Cream Cheese Dip Recipe

Here are the ingredients you will need to prepare this chorizo spread:
- Mild or spicy chorizo, or a mixture of both
- Cream cheese
- Yogurt to lighten and soften the texture
- According to your preferences: sundried tomatoes, caramelized onions, flat-leaf parsley, or fresh cilantro…
A little tip for successful preparation: always start by blending the chorizo on its own. This is very important. If you put all the ingredients in the blender at once, they will move around and won’t blend properly. So, start with the chorizo cut into pieces, then, if you’ve chosen to add tomatoes or caramelized onions, add them afterward. Blend briefly. Finally, stir in the Saint-Morêt cheese and the fromage blanc. One last pulse in the blender, and your chorizo spread is ready.
Serve this chorizo spread with raw vegetables, breadsticks, crackers, or even toast. Guaranteed success! And if you have any left over (which is rare, but we can always dream!), warm it up and serve it with pasta: you’ll see, it’s delicious!
