Orange Crinkle Cookies

Have you seen these little treats? We often see Lemon Crinkles (and I love them), but this time I wanted to try Orange Crinkle Cookies and I can tell you it’s delicious!
At home, we regularly try to make our own little snacks that we slip into the children’s school bags, so we try various recipes. Well, I must admit that the intention was there but that we ultimately appreciated these little crushed biscuits around tea more… 😉
This recipe can absolutely be made with lemon, it will be exactly the same instructions and ingredients (except for the change of citrus fruits). You can even use a blood orange, it will add a nice touch of red to your crushed cookies.

What ingredients do you need to make this delicious Orange Crinkles recipe?
- flour
- butter at room temperature
- sugar
- an organic orange for juice and zest
- an egg
- baking powder
- fine salt
- icing sugar
- cinnamon (it’s optional, it’s really for those who love this spice)

Why will you love this recipe?
- for its simplicity: its level of difficulty and very easy. Like the vast majority of my recipes (especially desserts), I make them with my children, which it must be said is not always easy (nor pleasant, yes, I dare say it…) and yet we does it very well. with 6 hands… 😉
- for its flavors: I love the tangy side of citrus fruits, which goes very well with the sweetness of the biscuit and icing sugar.
- for its textures: the soft side of the biscuits balances perfectly with the cooked icing sugar which gives a nice little crispy crust to these crumpled cookies.
