After my homemade pizza dough recipe, you suspected I was going to share a pizza recipe with you… So here is my tomato burrata basil and mortadella pizza and like I told you, it’s a pure delight! As they often say, the simple things are often the best, and this time it proves it again.
The trick is to find good ingredients, and for that I go to a small Italian deli in the neighborhood and ask him to cut me the slices of mortadella very thin.
When tomatoes are in season, you can add a few small cherry tomatoes either before or after cooking, it will be even more delicious.
Personally, I don’t cook the burrata because I find that it spoils its creamy texture. I prefer to add it after cooking on a hot pizza. This way it keeps its delicious texture and melts gently, yum, a treat!
