I made this Beef and Cheese Burritos recipe several months ago, but I forgot to share it with you and yet, I can tell you that it was a real treat!
I prepared them for the children during an evening with friends, and I can tell you that they really liked them! We had to beg them to let us try a small bite of their homemade burrito, and yet there was no shortage of them…
For the record…one day we met up for weekday lunch with my boyfriend and not much time for lunch. I ask him what he’d like to eat and he says, “I don’t know what it is, but I’d like a burrito.” » So funny, I think it came from school… So I took him to a fast food restaurant but in the end he didn’t like it… We couldn’t stay with such a failure!
That’s why one day I started making these homemade minced meat and cream cheese burrito, which were a success…. 😉

Beef and Cheese Burritos Recipe
A little clarification though, we agree that this is not a traditional Mexican recipe 😉 but rather a French fast food version of tacos. In reality, Mexican tacos are made up of a stuffed corn pancake but which remains open, this version is more like a burrito but in the shape of a samosa…
In short, I hope I haven’t lost you… The main thing is that you have to try it, it’s so good and what’s more, it’s very simple and quick to prepare!
What ingredients do you need to make homemade burritos?
- ground beef
- onion
- garlic cloves
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- herbs cream cheese
- cheese, several options: burger cheese, croque monsieur, or even cheddar, Comté, Beaufort, Edam…
- wraps
Personally I find that these tacos are enough on their own but if you wish, you can always slip a leaf of salad inside, or I know that this is also done, put fries inside, I suggest you a variation with sweet potato fries or homemade potato wedges.
If you feel like it, don’t hesitate to make a little homemade guacamole, it will go very well with it!

How to fold burrito into triangle?
Beef and Cheese Burritos Recipe
Ingredients
- 250 g ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 jar of Boursin (herbs cream cheese)
- 200 g cheese (several options: burger cheese, croque monsieur, or even cheddar, Comté, Beaufort, Edam…)
- 1 pack of 10 wraps
Instructions
- Peel the onion and garlic cloves and cut them finely.In a pan, brown them with a drizzle of olive oil. Salt, pepper and brown lightly.
- Add the minced meat and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.Remove from the heat, add the Boursin and stir until well combined.
- Cut the wrap in half and slightly fold the end of the rounded side inwards.Place a slice of cheese on top and add a few spoons of minced meat. Proceed with folding into a triangle, as shown in the drawing.
- In a lightly oiled hot pan, cook for a few minutes until the tacos are golden brown.Serve immediately with salad or potatoes.
