Come on, let’s start the year gently and deliciously with this delicious pear and chocolate muffins recipe.
At first, I thought that my first recipe after the holidays was going to be more of a soup or a winter salad, but in the end, greed won out… 😉
To be honest, I did not make these little muffins but it was my man with my little kids who delighted us. They based it on the blueberry muffin recipe but changed the fruit since it was no longer in season and added chocolate. That was my little man’s idea.
The result is really nice and we really appreciated the freshness that the pears bring to these muffins. In addition, they are super easy to prepare and that is really an asset for us.

If you wish, you can add a few flaked almonds on top or pieces of hazelnuts. For this version we didn’t do it because the little ones don’t really like the pieces but personally, I think I would like it even more! 🙂

Pear and Chocolate Muffins Recipe
Ingredients
- 80 g powdered sugar
- 90 g milk with a few drops of lemon juice
- 50 g neutral oil
- 1 egg
- 150 g flour
- 10 g brown sugar for the top
- 1 pinch of salt
- 80 g dark chocolate
- 2 pears 5peeled and cut into small pieces)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Melt the chocolate in a bain marie.Put all the ingredients in a bowl, except for the yeast, pears and chocolate.Mix well then add the baking powder. Mix again to incorporate it perfectly. Then add the melted chocolate and mix.Add the pear pieces, stir gently so as not to crush the fruit.Place paper cases in the muffin molds (here I used baking paper that I cut) then fill 3/4 of the dough so it doesn't overflow when cooking.Sprinkle a little brown suger on top as well.
- Place in the oven and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, monitoring the end of cooking so as not to let them burn. They should be nicely browned and above all very puffy.
- Remove the tray from the oven and after a few minutes, carefully unmold them, possibly using a knife so as not to break the tops of the muffins.Enjoy with a good tea or coffee and enjoy this moment of sweetness. If you don't have any sugar, you can use a little brown sugar.
