The first time I made this recipe for delicious Spiced Christmas Cookies recipe was 5 years ago. They have now become a great classic of our month of December and of winters in general.
I know this because I published this article on December 10, 2015, with a 4 month old baby in my arms. I was a young mother and proud to have been able to find my way back to my kitchen (which I had never really lost).
All this to tell you that this recipe is as simple as a pie since at the time I made it with one hand and it is a treat! The good smell of spices, especially cinnamon and melted butter, delicately perfumes the house and is very comforting.
So every year I start this recipe again and I now make it with my little one who has grown up a little and his little sister who has since joined us… They love making the dough, eating it raw (yuck), cutting the biscuits with cookie cutter pieces and watch them gently brown in the oven…
So this year I took the opportunity to take photos of these shortbread cookies because the others were a bit dated… 😉
So if you also want or need a little sweetness, I’ll leave you with my easy recipe, tested and approved dozens of times by young and old… And like every weekend for the past month, we’re going come back to it. this too. 😉
