What is the ideal time for brunch?
I would say not too early, not too late. I think starting brunch between 10:30 and 11:30 is pretty good, because the idea is to combine breakfast and lunch, without eating again before dinner. And it also depends if you are brunching with kids, you have to take into account their rhythm 😉
Personally, I’m an early riser, so I always make myself a coffee early in the morning to start preparing what I’ll serve for brunch.
what can you serve for your brunch?
As the brunch will take place a little earlier than a traditional lunch, it must be sufficiently consistent and balanced to last until dinner. Come on, we tolerate a little snack in the middle of the afternoon if necessary… 😉
For my part, I adapt the number of recipes according to the number of guests and for 4 to 6 people, I like to propose :
- 2 savory recipes
- 2 sweet recipes
- bread
- jams or other spreads
- nothing prevents you from adding some cheeses
- some fresh fruit
- dried fruit or almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts
- then select a fruity drink like a smoothie
- but also simply a hot drink like a good coffee, tea or hot chocolate
